Black Achievers Wings Award
About Us
About us
a little bit of history
Established in 1992, the Black Achievers Wings Award celebrates and uplifts young people from the Chapeltown, Harehills, and Little London communities in Leeds.
At a time when these communities were often portrayed negatively in the media, the Awards were created to highlight the many young individuals striving for excellence and achieving remarkable goals.
The Awards serve not only to honour these achievements but to inspire the next generation to aim high and shatter stereotypes.

Acts of Faith
Acts of Faith
My life needs a plan not a promise.
The road of life is strewn with bodies of promising people. People who show promise, yet lack the confidence of act. People who make promises they are unable to keep. People who promise to do tomorrow what they could do today. Promsiing young stars, athletes, entrepreneurs who wait for promises to come true. Promsie without a goal and a plan is like a barren cow. You know what she could do if she could do it, but she can't. Turn your promise into a plan. Make no promise for tomorrow if you are able to keep it for today. And if someone calls you promising, know what you are not doing enough today.
